You all were fantastic! Thanks for helping raise money for our program! If anyone has photos, share them with me and I'll post them on the site.Ya'all really know how to make it hard on a director. There were so many amazing performances at auditions and call backs. This show is going to be great, but first I have to make some tough decisions.
And an extra congratulations to our Dream Robe recipient Katie McLaughlin, and our first Techies Help Everyone Out (THEO) recipient, Jordan Evans-Polockow. Remember that next week 10/9-10/13, all rehearsals will end at 5:30pm. All students will be called all week. If you are not acting in a set of scenes, you will help us make rhinoceros masks. During tech week, 10/16-18, rehearsals run until 8pm.
We will do a costume parade for Act I on Wed. 10/11 and Acts II and III on Thurs. 10/12. Bring what you have, even if it isn’t quite complete. Please remember to turn in money and/or unsold tickets for the Drive for Schools fundraiser by Friday 10/13. We will have dinner as a cast at 5:30pm on Monday 10/16, Tuesday 10/17, and Wednesday 10/18. We’d appreciate food donations to feed about 30 young people. Families that are kind enough to donate will be repaid in love, gratitude, and free tickets to the show. I’d also appreciate a parent or two to help sell tickets and concessions during the shows. You would need to show up at about 6:30pm and stay until we are all cleaned up. You can volunteer to help at one or all three shows on 10/19, 10/20, and 10/21. All students will sign up to bring treats and drinks to sell for concessions. Here is a copy of the sign up sheet. Lastly, Strike is scheduled for Monday 10/23 from 3:30-5. All students are required to attend. If you have any questions or are interested in donating or volunteering, please email me or have your student let me know.
